The Stichting Nationale Herdenking ‘s-Gravenhage aims to commemorate in a dignified manner those who died in the resistance, in service of the Dutch armed forces or the Dutch merchant navy in the years 1940-1945 or victims due to race, religion and conviction or forced labor outside the Netherlands.
The commemoration takes place annually on May 4 by organizing silent marches to and gatherings at the memorial sites.
